Pop Up Shop at the Top of State

A “Summer in YOUR City” extension of the celebration of Madison’s unique and inspiring creative culture, the pop-up market includes handmade products, local art, artisan gifts, prepackaged foods and fresh produce all coordinating with bi-weekly themes. Featuring brick-and-mortar BID retailers, the pop-up market will encourage and promote downtown retail. The market will also showcase visiting Madison Public Market vendors, Madison Night Market vendors, and others fostering future brick-and-mortar retailers.

Series Dates:  First and third Wednesdays, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., May – September 2018

Overture Rising Stars

Part of the free summer event series, “Summer in YOUR City,” Madison’s Central BID in partnership with the Overture Center for the Arts presents as showcase concert of Overture’s Rising Stars, a local talent search aimed at highlighting and celebrating amazing members of our local communities during Madison Night Market in June 2018.

Kids Create at the Top of State

Madison’s Central BID presents a children’s art and activity series to take place on Fridays from 10am-1pm in The Grove. The BID will partner with various local organizations to provide an afternoon of themed art and learning projects for children. This event will provide children and downtown families with an afternoon of fun and educational projects.This summer’s theme is Music and Movement.

Series Dates: Fridays, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., June 1, 2018 through August 31, 2018

InstaQuest (IQ) celebrates the end of the summer, grows business and creates a fun and interactive way to explore the BID using one of the fastest growing social media tools – Instagram by engaging both the business of the BID District as well the public that comes to the downtown area to visit, live, play and dine.
