Pop Up Shop at the Top of State

A “Summer in YOUR City” extension of the celebration of Madison’s unique and inspiring creative culture, the pop-up market includes handmade products, local art, artisan gifts, prepackaged foods and fresh produce all coordinating with bi-weekly themes. Featuring brick-and-mortar BID retailers, the pop-up market will encourage and promote downtown retail. The market will also showcase visiting Madison Public Market vendors, Madison Night Market vendors, and others fostering future brick-and-mortar retailers.

Series Dates:  First and third Wednesdays, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., May – September 2018

Movies in the Park

A follow up to the History of Hip Hop presentation in partnership with the Urban Community Arts Network – UCAN and part of the free summer event series, “Summer in YOUR City,” the beat workshop involves a brief presentation about why Hip-Hop uses beats instead of live instrumentation and what is involved, technically, in beat production. Audience members can join in and create their own beat!

Event Dates:  Monday, July 9, 12-1 p.m.

Overture Rising Stars

Part of the free summer event series, “Summer in YOUR City,” Madison’s Central BID in partnership with the Overture Center for the Arts presents as showcase concert of Overture’s Rising Stars, a local talent search aimed at highlighting and celebrating amazing members of our local communities during Madison Night Market in June 2018.
